Amen to this. I've lost a lot of respect for Rowling. I thought she - like many writers - had some baseline high level of compassion, but she has shown time and again that this is not so.

Let's support trans authors. And Black authors. And Black trans authors! Lots of compassionate authors out there worthy of our respect and our dollars.
