Amen. Yeah, there really are two types of cancel culture at play. Legitimate cancelling of powerful famous people, and "cancelling" that's basically just bullying cloaked in a vague moral cause.

Honestly, I've avoided watching/reading certain things because the fandom gave me a bad taste. Which is so sad, because shouldn't fandoms welcome newcomers to the fold instead of pushing them away? What's even more ridiculous are fandoms that cancel someone because they don't ship the right ship or whatever. Like...grow up. (Though I do think most of the perpetrators in these situations are literally children.)
