Asian-Canadian chiming in here. Thanks for writing this. Instead of taking from other people's cultures, we should be looking into our own for inspiration. As a racial and cultural minority, I am certain there are is a lot we can share to our non-Asian neighbours—we have no need to steal from other communities.
Navigating our place as non-White and non-Black citizens is tough because we are often excluded from mainstream conversations. But we have a responsibility too to stand up against anti-Black racism; just because we're not the elitest of the elite (White) doesn't mean we are exempt from the convo. Which is why we must keep talking and writing.
