Hey Cassius, I clicked on your article right away when I saw the headline. I too was disappointed at all the lesbian backlash against Elliot. I saw an Arielle Scarcella video yesterday that pretty much did the same thing.

To the lesbian influencers who are sad about losing a lesbian icon, I'm sad to be losing THEM to transphobia.

As for Elliot, I have to be honest and say that I, too, was initially a little sad to lose a lesbian icon. But then, I realized we have in fact gained a super cool new trans icon! And that's something to celebrate =)

I've heard some people say that we should start differentiating between the trans community and the non-straight community since they are essentially two different things—sexuality and gender identity. I'm curious to hear what you think of that.
