I appreciate hearing from an older person's perspective, a boomer even ;) It's useful for us youngins to know the roots of the problems we see today. Too often we criticize what we see on the surface without delving deeper into the origins.

Let's hope there will be a new generation of models for what healthy masculinity can and should be. It doesn't mean we have to get rid of our heroes—we can still have cowboys, but maybe compassionate cowboys. Who steal from the rich to benefit the poor or fight alongside those defending their traditional lands.
