I like the piece about being original. I think I'm doing that, in a way. When I see someone with better metrics than me, I remind myself that I don't define myself by metrics (and that person might not too, what the hell do I know). What makes my heart sing isn't the amount of followers or likes per se but the amount of comments I get. I like facilitating discussion, so I consider myself successful if I get responses on my stuff, even if they're negative responses.
