I love this piece! Thank you for sharing your insights and experiences. I haven't travelled as widely as you but I related to some of what you said as a person of colour from the UK (I'm a person of colour - Asian - from Canada, and people always balk when I tell them I'm Canadian and not Chinese or something.) I'm glad that you had a relatively positive experience in Asia, as I've heard about some pretty horrendous experiences from other Black folks.
