I wish I had read this as a teenager/young adult. This should be required reading for teenagers/young adult navigating the volatile relationships we tend to get into at that age.
I have only ever cut out one person in my life, ever, and it was easily one of the most difficult things I have done because we were not on good terms and I will likely never experience closure with that relationship. But it was seriously for the best. We were not good for each other. I do not hold anything against them and genuinely wish the best for them. Our time together, however brief, was immensely important to my personal development, and I am grateful for that.
