If there's anything i learned from watching the Hong Kong protests, it's that when people choose to focus on the violence/riots/looting/etc. they are choosing to redirect their focus from the actual cause at hand.
Yes, ecoterrorism is bad, but an ecoterrorist incident does not make climate change a lesser problem.
Yes, looting is bad, but looting in the name of racial injustice does not make racial injustice less of an issue.
We must remember that the protests, which are for the most part peaceful, have the moral high ground. Remember the cause.
