It’s refreshing to know that science is finally giving psychedelics the attention they deserve. For too long we’ve grouped all drugs under the umbrella of things that are bad for you, that people turn to to numb themselves. Psychedelics do the opposite of that: they amplify life, opening up experiences and perceptions and showing you things that can delight, astound, and humble you.

While I’ve never tried a true psychedelic like LSD or psilocybin, I’ve taken large doses of cannabis edibles and have had experiences that I believe are akin to psychedelia. As a person with pathological worries (thanks, OCD!) I can confidently say that edibles has helped me accept and work through my worries. I’d hesitate to say getting high on edibles is “therapy,” it worked well as therapy-adjacent to me.
