Oof, I needed this. Thank you for articulating this so well. I worry about things like social media followers and why don't people like what I do/say all the time. I also have it in my head that fame = skill, which I think is true to a certain extent, but not always. Taylor Swift is famous because she is skilled, but she is by no means the most skilled musician on the Earth. Lots of non-famous people are more skilled than she is.
