Thank you for adding this, Marley. Sadly, I've definitely seen the behaviour you've observed. I think there is a prevalence of belief among some Asians, especially the older more traditional folk, that non-Asian people (especially Black people) are dangerous and that it's better to just shuffle away and forget they exist. Indeed, a big problem in the Asian community is simply silence. It goes back to the model minority myth -- if we keep our heads down and stay quiet we'll earn the favour of White folks and succeed...at the expense of Black and Brown folks.

I genuinely hope we will change for the better in the future.
