Thanks for the thorough explanation, Ivan! Yeah, that seems to be a trend in other places too, like African countries, that homophobic laws are inherited from colonial days. I want to clarify my no-travelling-to-anti-LGBTQ+ rule is not hard and fast. If a place like Singapore feels pretty safe, I’d still be open to visit. Interesting that gay sex is illegal but lesbian sex is not… but I guess that’s another conversation haha.
