Thanks for the warm response, Johnny! Yeah I think that's a bad habit for most people on the internet...we go kneejerk to our first reactions, which are usually very emotional. I make sure I don't make up my mind about an article until I've read a few different responses to it. I initially quite liked Elliot's article, but I can see the weak or under-addressed points (as well as its strengths) now that I've looked through all the comments, including yours.
