This was a lovely read. I related hard to a lot of it, especially the culture of silence. Perhaps that's why we see fewer Asian activists. I constantly admire Black and Indigenous activists, even though I have just as much right, passion, and creativity to an activist for my own community, I still somehow want to retreat to the safety of not being seen, of letting things get brushed under the rug.
