Very informative. I’m not Indian but I did really enjoy Never Have I Ever. This gives some well-needed context. Indeed, I think one thing people tend to forget is that many immigrants that come to the West only make it here thanks to privileges they enjoyed back home, such as better education, English language skills, and family wealth. So the immigrants we see here are a very thin slice of their heritage countries and do not in any way represent their heritage countries. But we are often put into this uncomfortable position of doing so, which sometimes contributes to erasure of important problems that need to be fixed in our countries of origin.
