Yes, I am aware that not all Asians are light-skinned. Perhaps I should have been more specific in my response that I was referring to East Asians (Chinese, Korean, Japanese) who are usually wealthier in general than Asians in the Global South. And I am aware that skin whitening products are a problematic issue in many Asian communities. When I visit Asia, I find it difficult to shop for products that do not have whitening on them.
